The CTFGPS-2 GPS receiver features the new chipset SIRF3, is waterproof and has a magnetic and rugged case bottom. The integrated highly sensitive GPS Aaerial gives you a maximum receiption quality.
The connection cable can be enlarged up to 5 meters for optimal placement of the receiver. The integrated USB-to-Serial bridge eases usage. For installation you only need a small USB driver.

Stabiler und guter Empfang auch noch bei verstecktem Einbau z.b unter dem Beifahrer Airbag oder dem Amaturenträger. Kalt- und Warmstart sind auch sehr gut. Besonders gut ist der eingebaute Magnet mit dem man den Empfänger gut an einem Metalteil im Auto fixieren kann.

Dieser Kommentar ist sicherlich hilfreich für alle, die noch eine GPS-Maus mit Sirf 2 Chipsatz nutzen, denn zuvor hatte ich ebenfalls eine solche Maus. Lange Zeit war ich mir nicht sicher, ob sich ein Umstieg lohnen würde und auch im Internet waren nicht sehr viele aussagekräftige Meinungen zu finden. Kürzlich habe ich mich aber dann doch dazu entschieden eine Sirf 3-Maus zu probieren. Und der Unterschied ist phänomenal!! Keine Ausfälle mehr in dichten Wäldern und kein Ausfall mehr in Großstädten, wo es ja besonders wichtig ist, ständig Empfang zu haben.
